    How young can a child start music lessons?

    We, at Scherzo Music School, believe that there is not a set age to start developing music education skills. Most students start between the ages of 3 and 5 years old; however, it is never too early or too late to start music lessons.


    How soon can we start the lessons?

    A student may start private lessons as soon as desired since enrollment is ongoing. For the Music Discovery and Group Lessons, we start groups approximately every 3 months.


    Can I stop the lessons at anytime?

    Yes, you can stop the lesson at anytime during the year; however, you must notify the school 30 days in advance.


    What happens if I cannot attend one day?

    If you notify the school at least 48 hrs. in advance, you will receive a make up credit that can be redeemed by attending on an additional day, or by adding 15 or 30 min. to the lessons until the make up time is covered.


    Do you do recitals?

    Scherzo Music School holds at least 4 recitals per year in different venues around the Peninsula. Additionally, students have the opportunity to participate in numerous "Peer Performances" in the school.


    Do you prepare students for Standardized Music Tests?

    Yes, we offer standardized music exam preparation for the ABRSM and AMC.


    Does a parent need to be present during the lesson?

    We strongly suggest that a parent attend the lessons when the student is not old enough to practice on his/her own. The school allows 1 parent sit in during the lesson if requested.


    Do you offer discounts?

    Yes, we offer sibling discounts, multiple class discount, and non-credit card transaction discount.


    How do you pay for the lessons?

    Lessons are paid in advance on a monthly basis. Students may opt for monthly or quarterly billing. Student may also opt to pay in the studio, by automatic withdrawal, or online through PayPal.
